That's right people, I challenge ALL of you out there with Wii's to be the POWER BOWLING CHAMPION OF THE WORLD.

For those of you who dont know what Im talking about. Power Bowling is a segment on the "Wii Sports" game for the Nintendo Wii. Where you bowl progressivly larger amounts of pins, finally ending up on a massive 91 pin setup. You get a point for every pin you knock over, and double points if you get a strike.

So c'mon people. Let's see what you can get!



Of course, we need proof :P

And also NO CHEATING. We all know how to use the exploit :P so dont.

For those that dont know, I've been pretty down the last few months.  I've been working on improving my additude and becoming a slightly better person.  This will be a short post.  Just a quick update.

 - All my plans to work on my design skills have been put on hold, my computer has kicked the proverbial bucket and I dont have the time to replace the broken parts ( or even find out which parts are broken ).  Until then, I'll be working off paper and what I can run on my laptop ( which isn't as much, a few websites . . . basic animation . . . basic 3d ).

- I Bought a Wii.  my Wii Friends Code is on the right hand side of the screen, feel free to add me - PM me if you want me to add you back.

- My upcoming trip to melbourne was cancelled, so I spent the money I'd saved for the trip on some retail therapy.  It has marginabley helped.


- Im sorry to all those who I have hurt or offended.  Truly am.

RIGHT.
I've been very slack I know. To be perfectly honest I've been having a crisis of faith. One of those "I'm no good at anything" situations. So I've been trying to do something about it. There's 3 main areas I'd like to improve in over the holidays. And today I've got to stop procrastinating and actually get on with it. I think if I force myself to keep semi-regular blog entries I'll be able to come up with something that I'm happy with...eventually. And hopefully I'll get some feedback from you, the readers. That would be mad.

Digital Painting / Concept Art
If my aim in life is to get into computer games design, then I've got to be able to get my ideas down on paper. So I've been working on my sketching skills. And ideally, I'd love to be able to do some proper CONCEPT art. Nothing amazing, rough sketch work that can portray the actual design intent. But at the moment, I lack the talent and the skills to get the job done. It's something I'm working on. My good friend Jason ( phreek_23 ) is helping me along the way. We've started what we like to call the "Daily Image JAMM". Where we have 30 minutes to draw. Either based on a theme, or Freeform. We've had 5 sessions so far, some I've been happy with, others I havn't. Just to show you the kind of stuff I've been working with :

Not fantastic, I know. But it's better than most of the other stuff I've done in photoshop. With time I might get the style I'm aiming for.

Animation / VJ
Another area I'd love to get into is Motion Graphics. It's a big passion of mine, and It's something I really want to work on. I've done a few, and I reckon with time I'll be able to make stuff I'm happy with. So, I've got two projects at the moment, one of my own - "Retail", and one I'm doing for some friends, named after the song it's synched to - "Tilt". Neither of which I have worked on for a while. But I'm going to stop procrastinating and get to work. I will post regular updates on tilt, Feedback would be very much appreciated. Here's some shots from "TILT".

Going hand in hand with my animation, is the art of VJing. By new years I plan to have a full VJ Arsenal. Something to give to my friends so I can provide visuals for their live concerts. New years might be pushing it, but I promised them, so I've got to keep that promise. So Im collecting video information, sketches, ideas, concepts all sorts of stuff. Will post them here. I need to contact the band for the latest logo too...

General Design
Finally, Id love to work on my general design skills. I actually don't think I'm that good at design work. So I'm working on various websites, t-shirt designs, stencils, and other things over the holidays. Once again, I'd love some feedback.



So yeah, If I were finished uni this year, I don't think I'd have the skills to get a job anywhere. I want to have those skills when I finish next year. So I have to work for it.

I really would love feedback from anyone, and everyone. Most people should be able to reply to blog entries. either that, or feel free to email me ( email address at the top of the page ).
